When we do a juice cleanse, our body simply gets a rest from food and digestion. The immune system focuses on elimination of toxins and the organs of elimination (liver, pancreas, gall bladder, kidneys, intestines) start decomposing the dead cells and tissues by process of autolysis in a discriminate manner. The stomach becomes less acidic and certain detox symptoms can be experienced eg. acne breakouts, fatigue, headaches as the body eliminates its toxins. In a few days these symptoms ease and the body feels renewed overwhelmed with a sense of health and well-being!

Over the last few years, we have seen a surge in popularity of juicing as a health and fitness trend. Due to the highly processed foods that we consume and the polluted air that we breathe, our body accumulates toxins. The body does its best to eliminate the toxins, but ends up being stressed due to the overload. Symptoms such as chronic headaches, skin allergies and premature ageing start to appear. What can we do to help our ailing body? Many studies have been done on the beneficial effects of juicing: it provides the body with so many nutrients that can definitely help increase our lifespan, treat bio chemical imbalances, reduce cholesterol levels – just to name a few, and boost our immunity to the maximum.

Juicing does not only help you fight illnesses and diseases, but also improves your concentration, vitality and overall wellness by supplying your body with all the essential vitamins, minerals and other components it needs.

Vitamins and minerals are found in raw fruits and vegetables, but when you take juice from these foods, the essentials are filtered through the juicer and put into a form that is easier to digest and absorb. Juicing is a way of healing and preventing ailments through an exclusive diet of fruits and vegetables – blended or juiced. It’s important for us to make sure we have enough of those crucial substances, and yes, juicing can be the answer.

A nutrient-rich, natural juice cleanse is designed to reset eating habits and kickstart a healthy diet free from processed foods. What should I do before my cleanse?

Pre-cleanse: 

Since everyone’s juicing journey is different, there isn’t just a single approach to cleanse. As long as you are well-fueled with minerals, vitamins and energy from fruits, vegetables and whole foods to start off your juice cleanse, you can prepare for the next several days of healthy eating by eliminating unhealthy foods that might be contributing to digestive disorders and other problems. 

Before you start your cleanse, try giving up coffee, alcohol and cigarettes for a few days. You’ll likely feel less stressed and more alert since these substances can trigger headaches or contribute to feeling lethargic and foggy. When it comes to your diet, try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables in the days leading up to the cleanse so that your stomach isn’t empty when you start.

I received my juices. How should they be stored?

For fresh pressed juice cleanse:  All juices should be refrigerated upon arrival if planning to consume within 3-5 days.  To preserve longer, juices can be stored in the freezer in upright position for up to 3 months.  Unthaw and refrigerate the day before ready to consume.

For Happy Hour Weightloss – Refrigerate upon arrival and consume within 5-7 days.  To preserve longer, juices can be stored in the freezer in upright position for up to 3 months.  Unthaw and refrigerate the day before ready to consume.

Is there any specific order to the juice cleanse?

For all juice cleanse (except the happy hour weightloss program) there is no sequential order for juice consumption.  It will be effective no matter what order you decide to drink the juices.

What should I expect during the juice cleanse?

As juice cleansing is new to many, we know that many don’t know what to expect.  Everyone is different and will experience different symptoms, but it’s good to know what to look out for while paying attention to your body. 

At the start of the cleanse, you may experience: 

Frequent bathroom breaks as you have an increased liquid intake and your body is releasing the toxins. 

Detox symptoms may occur in the beginning:  nausea, headaches, diarrhea, fatigue and brain fog, cravings, skin breakouts and reactions, and aches and pains. 

This is likely normal and very temporary as your body is releasing built-up toxins in the process.

How can I combat the side effects?

STAY HYDRATED – Drink water.  If you experience any of these side effects drink more water.  It is most important to stay hydrated to combat dehydration during a cleanse. 

Eat fresh fruits or vegetables or raw nuts and foods if you have to chew or are having extreme difficulty completing the cleanse.

Mental exercises – 75% of the battle is mental and the perspective.  Mental exercises will help you keep your mind off of what you think is hard.

My cleanse is over, now what?

Post-cleanse:

After the cleanse is over, you should eat lightly for a few days, gradually adding foods back in over the course of several days. Pay close attention to how each food group you re-introduce back into your diet affects your body and the way you feel. You may notice that one type of food will make you feel sick or not tolerate it at all, or perhaps another food won't have any impact at all. Experiment with various foods and see what works best for your body.

How often can I do a cleanse?

There are no limitations to how often you can cleanse.  It is truly up to you and your body.  By suggestion, we advice juice fasts cleanses are most effective with frequency.  Whether once, twice, or more times a month, you will train your body to get use to cleansing and resetting often which will assist with the constant process of detoxifying the body.

Juicing is a quick, easy and delicious way to get back on track and nourish your body. With all the benefits of our cleanses, this simple cleanse was designed for those who want to learn about juicing and get their feet wet! The freshness of these juices will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.

When you stop consuming solid foods, you allow your digestive system to rest from the exhausting task of breaking down your solid foods. Your body will utilize the energy that it would normally be used for digestion to heal the body. The nutrients that the juice from the one day detox can help to repair and regenerate the body and the water will assist with the detox of eliminating wastes and toxins.

Benefits:  Many people experience mental, physical, and emotional clarity, better sleep patterns, increased energy, and even weightloss as an effect from a detox/cleanse.

The one day detox was created for those who are new to juicing or those who’d like to jumpstart with a quick reset. 

Water intake:  Take your weight in lbs an multiply by .67 (67%) and that’s the total you should drink in oz. *Note if you exercise add an additional 12 oz for every 30 minutes of exercise.

That’s the minimum amount of water you should be drinking DAILY. Even when you’re not on the cleanse. If you can take in a gallon during the cleanse, even better! The more you drink the faster the elimination process works.

Directions:  The intention of this detox is to consume only these 5 juices throughout the day for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and 2 snacks with lots of water. The water expectation for the body varies. Your water intake minimum is determined by your weight.   If your schedule allows, juices should be consumed before 8:30p.  This is recommended because after 8:30p allows your body to allow your body to rest and break down fat. 

Can I eat foods?

As mentioned the intention of the cleanse is to go cold turkey for the day with just the juices and the water, however you must listen to your body. It is common that during a detox some MAY make feel weaker than usual, experience headaches, tired, or even excessive hunger or cravings as your body is not used to the detoxification process this way. We encourage you to stick to is as best as you can, however it is not a crime to alter your detox if needed. If you must having a light snack like mixed nuts or fresh fruit won’t break your cleanse. You can even incorporate raw foods like a salad for dinner, if you do not feel that your body can successfully complete the cleanse. The goal is to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle and again that can look different for everyone.

Will I lose weight?

Weight loss often is accompanied by a cleanse, however, I always advise that it should not be the ultimate goal. If you do a cleanse to lose weight, and then go back to the same exact lifestyle and poor choices, you end up in the same position you were in before the cleanse.

Will I go to the bathroom often?

Everyone’s body and perspective is different, so the experience will not be the same for everyone. With the increase of liquids throughout your body, going to the bathroom more is extremely likely and actually the point of the cleanse. Some may experience more frequency the day of, and others may experience 24-48 hours after.

What should I eat the next day?

After the cleanse, you should ease your way back into your diet. The following two days, you should try to consume lighter foods like lean proteins, salads, soups, and veggies are recommended. Avoid fried foods and caffeine if at all possible.

How often should I do this detox?

As often as you’d like or your body can handle. Once a week is a great goal or even graduating to 3 or 5 day detox/cleanses to do a couple times a month. Let your body lead but give it healthy choices.

3 day supply

This package is for the beginning to moderate juicer.  It comes with 9 juices for 3 a day for 3 days (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner).  There is no order that the juices must be consumed.

It is highly suggested to consume one gallon of water throughout the day, however if you cannot here is the best way to calculate how much water you should have at a minimum:

Take your weight in lbs an multiply by .67 (67%) and that’s the total you should drink in oz. *Note if you exercise add an additional 12 oz for every 30 minutes of exercise.

That’s the minimum amount of water you should be drinking DAILY. Even when you’re not on the cleanse. If you can take in a gallon during the cleanse, even better! The more you drink the faster the elimination process works.

Prepare the night before.  Place your juices in the refrigerator a night before so they can thawed and put them in a lunch bag or container visible for you to remember to grab.  Sometimes we forget or are simply just in a rush and it makes it easier to not be disciplined. 

Swap coffee for teas.  Caffeinated beverages

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.  Hydration is KEY. Being properly hydrated will increase the detox process and help keep you fuller for longer.

If you MUST chew or break your fast, try eat raw vegetables or fresh fruit or nuts first.

Celery Juice Challenge

Studies show that at least 12 ounces of celery juice every morning on an empty stomach can have some amazing benefits for your healthy.  Celery juice has been known to lower inflammation, assist in weight loss and digestion, fight infections and diseases, prevent utis and acne prone conditions, high blood pressure, prevent ulcers, and even protect the liver.  And this is to name a FEW benefits.

Directions:  Drink one bottle of celery juice every morning on an empty stomach for 14 days.  Drink at least 16 oz of water following the celery juice as well.  Continue with your day as normal and make healthier food choices during this challenge for optimal health.  Pay attention to your progress (skin, digestive health, energy, appetite etc.) and how it makes you feel during this challenge so that you are able to identify your results.

Reset Challenge

This 5 day challenge is for the moderate to advanced juicer.  This package comes with 20 juices and 3 activated charcoal lemonades.

Please be advised it can be a nutrient absorbent, so it is recommended to drink at least 90 minutes before or after a meal or supplement consumption. First thing in the morning or at night 90 min after dinner is ideal.  Please note:  Taking activated charcoal along with birth control pills can decrease how much of the birth control pills the body absorbs. This can decrease the effects of birth control pills. To prevent this interaction, take activated charcoal at least 3 hours after or 12 hours before birth control pills.

Where are you located?

Our home base is currently located in Atlanta, GA however, we ship nationally over the USA at this time so we are located practically everywhere!  :)

What is the nutritional value of your juices?

Our fresh pressed juices are 100% cold pressed, no additives, preservatives, and anything other than the fruit and veggies we use to press into the juice.  Just as you may go into a juicebar and get a fresh juice made from fruits and vegetables, our juices are just the same.  Each of our fresh pressed juices are calculated to have about 150-200 calories.  One juice includes 12 oz which totals to about 1.5 servings!

Our detox program includes a proprietary herbal blend and spring water and may contain less than 1g of artifical sweetner per juice.

What are the shelf life of your juices?

Our fresh pressed juices are the FRESHEST if consumed or FROZEN within the first 3 days.  Can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.  Freezing can extend the shelf life for up to 3 months without degrading the flavor or nutrition.

What kind of fruit do you use? Are there any additives or sugars in your juices?

We use FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.  All of our juices are made from fresh fruit/veggies such as apples, oranges, pineapples, celery, and spinach, just to name a few. We do NOT add any sugars or sweeteners of any kind to our juices.  Just Fresh juice from Fresh Produce!  We take the time to clean our fruit using fruit and veggie wash to loosen debris, remove pesticides, and eliminate some of the bacteria that other grocery shoppers passed on to produce while shopping.

While we do tend to reference the dirty dozen food list when shopping for fruit and try to stay on the organic side for those, we cannot guarantee all fruits will be USDA organic in every juice.  The USDA organic guidelines aren't really what most think.  FYI:  With most organic fruits in the everyday grocery store, you find yourself paying higher prices but you're still getting similar quality as you'd if you had purchased regular fruit.

 

Are your juices pasteurized?

WARNING: We take fresh fruit clean and juice them just as you would eat them after they are purchased.  Our products are not pasteurized and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, pregnant women, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.  Please consult a medical professional if you have any concerns about what you can consume. 

Do you accommodate allergies?

We are currently unable to accommodate any food allergies at this time. Please review our full ingredients on the website to determine if our products are a good fit for you.

Will I lose weight?

As everyone is different, we cannot guarantee a specific weight loss, however, we can advise that it has been proven that healthy consumption breeds healthy results. Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours please check your SPAM first.  If you feel as though you may have entered the wrong email address and it needs to be update please get in touch at info@pressedfreshatl.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Again, please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us within 24-48 hours after ordering, via info@pressedfreshatl.com, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed however, there are we cannot guarantee cancellation.

Can I alter my order?

Sadly, we’re unable to modify your order once we’ve started processing it. If you need to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online and email us at info@pressedfreshatl.com to request we combine orders within 48 hours and we will do everything we can to accomodate your request.

When will my order arrive?

Orders that require shipping within the U.S. will be delivered within one to two business days after processing period, depending on your preferred shipping method. All orders have a 7-14 business day processing time frame. Orders are made FRESH and processed in the order that they are received. Additionally, in some cases such as sales, new product release, promotions and influencer advertisement, order volume can increase the processing time frame up to 4 weeks.

Please note: We generally ONLY ship Monday-Wednesday to ensure the quality and condition of our products are received as intended.  If you receive a email confirmation with tracking after Thursday, this an indication that your order is in shipment progress and scheduled to be picked up the carrier the following week.  Please allow 24-48 hours from Monday for the tracking status to update.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs depend on the item you’ve ordered and the destination where it’s being delivered.  For fresh pressed juices, to ensure they are delivered FRESH and with the same quality sent, we are only able to use UPS Next Day Air shipment options which currently has the best rates for you.  For other products like our happy hour weightloss and non-refrigerated products, we ship USPS priority mail.  UPS and USPS calculate rates for shipping.   We do not have control over the rates that the carriers charge for delivery.  As we continue to grow, we will be able to negotiate more shipping options and cheaper rates to ensure you are getting the best prices without compromising quality.  

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, shipment, and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.  You can always check your order status here https://www.pressedfreshatl.com/apps/parcelpanel.

Returns

Can I return or exchange my products?

As our juices are perishables, we do not accept returns or exchanges for any reasons under any circumstances. However, if there are missing juices or products from your order, the shipment is damaged, or you received the wrong items, please send us photo documentation within 12 hours of receipt in order to process a replacement for missing/damaged items only and schedule another reshipment.  If it is in fact Pressed Fresh ATL’s error, we will gladly replace the product at no cost to you.  

When we release your products to the carrier, we expect them to deliver them in the same conditon sent and in a timely manner.  If at any point, your order is delayed and not delivered on time causing damage or spoilage to your order, please email us at info@pressedfreshatl.com and we will be glad to assist you with the steps to ensure we resolve the issue and get you a new package.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via info@pressedfreshatl.com with the details within 12 hours of receipt and we will be glad to assist you with the steps to ensure we resolve the issue and get you a new package.

I entered an incorrect/wrong address, and the item has already been shipped or is currently en route. What should I do?

We cannot accept responsibility for inaccurate addresses since all items are shipped to the address provided by the customer.
